The Journal of Social Analysis and Sustainability Studies (JSASS) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access publication that explores the complex intersection of human social behavior and environmental stewardship by hosting research in sociology, anthropology, political science, and psychology alongside environmental science, sustainable development, green economics, and public policy.

 

By integrating these diverse fields, the journal provides a multidisciplinary platform for scholars to examine how social structures, cultural practices, and economic systems impact global sustainability efforts. Its scope encompasses a wide range of topics, including urban sociology, climate change mitigation, corporate social responsibility, social justice, and education for sustainable development. Through this holistic approach, JSASS aims to bridge the gap between theoretical social analysis and the practical application of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, making critical insights accessible to a global audience of academics, policymakers, and activists dedicated to creating a more equitable and resilient future. It is a quality refereed multidisciplinary journal which is published by the Penerbit UIS, Universiti Islam Selangor, Malaysia.

JSASS publishes original findings or empirical articles (qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods), literature reviews, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, theoretical articles, and methodological articles. JSASS does not consider the following types of articles: essays, brief reports, case studies, and book reviews.

The Journal of Social Analysis and Sustainability Studies (JSASS) is the official, peer-reviewed publication of Universiti Islam Selangor (UIS), Malaysia. Established in 2014, the journal serves as a multidisciplinary platform dedicated to the advancement of knowledge at the intersection of social sciences and sustainable development. JSASS maintains a biannual publication schedule, releasing issues in May and November, and accepts original research articles, reviews, and conceptual papers in English, Arabic, and Bahasa Malaysia. With a commitment to global knowledge exchange, the journal provides Open Access to its content and welcomes submissions from international authors, fostering a diverse scholarly dialogue on contemporary social structures, cultural dynamics, and environmental stewardship.

The journal follows COPE Core Practices for publication ethics.
